Product Description:
The AKM2G-65L-ANDNCA00 servo motor is built by Kollmorgen within the AKM2G Magnetic Motors series. It is supplied in a standard configuration and acts as a compact rotary actuator for industrial automation, converting drive current from a matched amplifier into precise torque and position control for packaging, material handling, and assembly axes. Its compact format suits motion systems that need accurate positioning without taking up unnecessary space in the machine envelope. Rotor length code 5 adds active motor material to support higher continuous torque within this platform.
The single-cable interface uses a 1 htec M23 circular connector that carries power, feedback, and shielding through one connection point. Around that interface, the connector body has a protection class of IP65, so the motor can be mounted on open machine frames where splashing liquid and airborne debris may be present. Continuous duty is permitted within an ambient range of 5–40 °C, which supports normal winding and bearing operation in typical indoor production areas. Rotor position is monitored by an SFD3 Smart Feedback Device Gen. 3 sensor that sends high-resolution digital data to the drive and supports electronic motor identification. Mechanical output is delivered through a smooth shaft, which is suited to direct connection with clamping hubs or gearboxes.
With a frame diameter of 142 mm, the motor fits standard IEC mounting space, and the IEC accuracy N flange helps it align cleanly with gearheads or machine plates. The unit can operate in environments up to 95% relative humidity as long as condensation is avoided. Winding temperature is monitored by a PT-1000 + PTC sensor set, with the resistive element providing continuous thermal data and the PTC reacting quickly to excessive heat. Because the motor is supplied without a brake, the axis must be held at standstill by drive torque or an external mechanical device. This arrangement is suitable for applications where a separate holding method is already built into the machine.
