Product Description:
The AKM2G-51H-ACDNCA00 is a servo motor produced by Kollmorgen for the AKM2G Magnetic Motors series. As a rotary actuator, it supplies finely regulated torque and speed, letting controllers execute precise indexing, contouring, or tensioning tasks common in automated assembly lines and packaging systems. Its construction follows IEC mechanical conventions, so the motor can be mounted directly to gearboxes or machine frames with minimal adapters.
An ambient operating window of 5–40 °C keeps internal components within rated thermal limits when the motor is installed on climate-controlled factory floors. The signal and power connector housing meets the IP65 ingress standard, meaning dust cannot enter and low-pressure water jets will not disturb the contacts. Position and velocity are captured by the integrated SFD3 Smart Feedback Device Gen. 3, a digital encoder that streams high-resolution data to Kollmorgen drives without additional wiring. A frame width of 114 mm provides sufficient stator volume for the motor’s continuous torque class. Output power is transferred through a shaft machined with a keyway, giving pulley or coupling hubs positive engagement under start-stop duty cycles.
For humid work areas, the unit withstands up to 95% relative humidity without internal condensation, protecting windings and bearings from moisture-induced faults. A dual sensor package consisting of a PT-1000 and PTC is embedded in the stator to report real-time coil temperature and trigger drive shutdown if a preset trip point is reached. Electrical terminations use a 1 htec M23 connector that combines power, feedback, and ground conductors, simplifying cable routing. Because the motor is supplied without a holding brake, any vertical-axis installation must rely on external mechanical locks or dynamic drive torque to prevent load drift during power-off conditions.
