Designed for integration into multi-axis positioning stages, pick-and-place heads, and similar motion assemblies, the unit converts drive currents from a matching amplifier into controlled rotary motion that can be synchronized with encoder feedback. Its compact construction and magnetic circuit allow high torque density while maintaining compatibility with common IEC mechanical interfaces used across industrial automation lines.
Operational boundaries start with an ambient temperature window of 5 to 40 °C, allowing the motor to run in enclosed machines without forced cooling. Power and signal connections use one HTEC M23 connector, and the mating plug has an enclosure rating of IP65, so dust ingress and water jets will not affect the contacts. A frame width of 72 mm positions the stator within narrow mechanical envelopes, while the integrated SFD3 Smart Feedback Device Gen. 3 supplies high-resolution rotor position data over the same lead to simplify wiring.
