Product Description

The AKM54H-ACCNR-00 is a synchronous servomotor manufactured by Kollmorgen for industrial applications. The motor is designed for drives intended for machinery and apparatus with high requirements for stability and dynamics, such as industrial robots, machine tools, and textile and packing machinery. The unit must be operated only under the ambient conditions specified in the product documentation. The motor is installed as a component in electrical apparatus or machines and must only be commissioned and operated as an integral part of that machine or apparatus. The servomotor must never be connected directly to the mains supply. The surface of the AKM servomotor can be very hot when it is live. The surface temperature can exceed 100°C. So, before touching the device, it is important to measure the temperature and wait until it has dropped down below 40°C. The motor does not have a holding brake. It comes with a keyway shaft. The fitted key must be removed from the shaft before letting the motor run independently in order to avoid the dangerous outcome of the key being thrown out by centrifugal force. Commissioning the motor is prohibited if the equipment in which it was installed doesn’t comply with the EMC Directive, fulfill the requirements of the EC Machinery Directive, and/or comply with the Low Voltage Directive. During mounting and operation, it is vital to safeguard the unit from mechanical effects, because it may result in cracks or scratches on the painted surface. Mishandling the device increases the risk of corrosion. The motor must be maintained and cleaned only by qualified and trained personnel.
