The AKD2G-SPE-7V06D-A100-0000-A servo drive is produced by Kollmorgen within the AKD2G Servo Drives series. It regulates torque, speed, and position loops for permanent-magnet servo motors in multi-axis machines such as pick-and-place gantries and packaging stations. By combining power conversion and motion processing in one compact module, the unit reduces panel space requirements while supporting deterministic operation in industrial automation systems.
This model manages two motor windings simultaneously through its dual-axis hardware, allowing one drive to coordinate a pair of mechanically related loads without additional drive modules. Fieldbus communication is handled over EtherCAT, which provides cyclic data exchange below one millisecond for synchronized interpolation with a PLC. The power section accepts a 240 or 480 V AC three-phase input, allowing the same model to operate with either supported supply voltage. Continuous output current is limited to 6 A RMS per axis under the stated ambient operating conditions. The electronics are contained in an IP20 servo-drive enclosure intended for installation inside a protected control cabinet with adequate convection airflow.
