Product Description:
The AKD2G-SPE-6V06S-A1F3-0000 is a single-axis servo drive manufactured by Kollmorgen within the AKD2G Servo Drives series. It is designed to work with rotary or linear servomotors and regulates torque, velocity, and position in automated machinery. The unit integrates an EtherCAT interface for real-time command exchange with PLCs and uses Position Indexer motion tasks so axis-level moves can be executed without an external motion card. This arrangement allows the drive to handle local move profiles while remaining synchronized with higher-level control.
The drive accepts a 120 / 240 Vac 1~/3~ supply and delivers up to 6 Arms of continuous output current to the motor windings. A current loop bandwidth of 3000 Hz keeps torque response tight, while the velocity loop closes at 750 Hz with updates every 62.5 µs and position corrections refresh every 250 µs. The PWM stage switches at high frequency to reduce acoustic noise and motor ripple, and overload conditions can be sustained for five seconds before the controller returns to rated limits. Regenerated energy is routed to an internal resistor that can absorb peaks of 9 kW, which helps protect upstream supplies during deceleration.
The housing is 76 mm wide, 221 mm deep, and 235 mm high, and the drive weighs 2.4 kg, which supports dense panel installations without excessive mass. The unit includes a safety package with STO, safe inputs, SIL2 PLd, and these safety channels are routed through the +X23 I/O connector alongside the digital and analog signals provided by the Standard PCB option. A PWM switching frequency of 15 kHz helps lower motor audibility and reduce current ripple during precision moves. The drive uses the MAP Revision A platform in an IP20 enclosure, which is intended for protected cabinet mounting and identifies the controller as a second-generation design.
