In an automation cell, this drive converts fixed AC supply or DC bus energy into regulated three-phase output, so motion controllers can close precise velocity and torque loops on connected motors. Analog command inputs let it work with legacy ±10 V references, which is useful when an existing control system does not use a digital fieldbus for its speed or position demand. Because it is a single-axis design, one drive can be assigned directly to one motor without sharing output resources with neighboring axes. Its compact sizing suits applications that need responsive but space-constrained actuation, such as pick-and-place modules, carton erectors, and indexing tables.

For power, the unit accepts an AC line of 120/240 Vac or a DC link of 170/340 VDC, giving flexibility when a machine already includes a rectified bus. When the motor decelerates, excess energy is absorbed by an internal resistor rated for 100 W and 15 Ω, which helps prevent DC bus overvoltage without adding an external dump module. The braking path is internal, so regenerated energy from short deceleration events can be managed within the drive enclosure. The inverter is sized for a typical mechanical load of 1 kW, making it suitable for light conveyors, indexing mechanisms, and other rotary actuators that cycle frequently. Functional safety is integrated, and the STO and Safe IN channels meet SIL2 / PL d so the drive can remove torque-producing energy through the safety circuit. This arrangement supports guarded machine sections where rapid and predictable shutdown of axis power is required.
