The drive’s footprint and DIN-rail mounting simplify cabinet layout, while integrated monitoring functions help protect motors and cabling. As part of Kollmorgen’s scalable AKD platform, the unit pairs with a broad range of motor sizes and feedback devices, allowing one drive family to cover multiple axes and power levels.
For North American installations, the customization variant is Standard USA, meaning labeling, safety relays, and default parameters match domestic codes. The drive uses the BASIC feature set, so only core motion functions are active, keeping the parameter list simple for general-purpose duties. Command data reach the controller through analog interfaces, which permit ±10 V velocity or torque references without a full digital network. Continuous output is limited by a nominal current of 24 Arms, while transient events such as acceleration or shock loads can be handled at a peak of 48 Arms for up to five seconds.
