The drive offers a rated output power of 2500 VA at 240 VAC, 4200 VA at 400 VAC, and 5000 VA at 480 VAC, and has a weight of 2.7 kg.
Internal Product Review
The AKD-P1207-NBPN-0000 is a Kollmorgen AKD servo drive featuring Position Indexer functionality and 240/400/480 VAC input. Fast control behavior from a 62.5 µs velocity loop update rate and 273 µs position loop update rate supports precise motion tuning. Strong current headroom with 12 ARMS/Ø continuous output and 30 ARMS/Ø peak output makes the unit a very capable choice for dynamic servo applications.

Product Description:
The AKD-P1207-NBPN-0000 is a servo drive manufactured by Kollmorgen for the AKD Servo Drives series. Supplied as the Position Indexer drive version, it combines motion control and indexing in one housing, allowing direct coordination of rotary or linear servo motors within industrial automation cells without an external indexing module. By converting three-phase mains energy into regulated current and voltage, the unit provides closed-loop speed and position regulation for machinery, material handling axes, and packaging stations where repeatable motion is required.
This drive can deliver a continuous current of 12 ARMS/Ø, and it permits a surge up to 30 ARMS/Ø for transient overloads that last no longer than 5 s. Operation is supported from 240, 400, or 480 VAC input lines, and the corresponding output capabilities reach 2500 VA, 4200 VA, and 5000 VA. A PWM carrier of 6 kHz modulates the switching devices, while the velocity loop refreshes every 62.5 µs and the position loop every 273 µs; these high update rates help reduce following error during dynamic moves. The digital control core supervises current, velocity, and position simultaneously, and the peak-handling window limits how long high current can be sustained during demanding motion cycles.
The housing releases 153 W of heat at full current yet only 20 W when idle, so cabinet airflow must match both figures to keep electronics below rated temperature. Physical integration is straightforward because the enclosure stands 256 mm high, spans 70 mm in width, and extends 185 mm in depth. Overall mass is restrained to 2.7 kg, easing installation on DIN rails or backplates without heavy support brackets. Its compact housing is well suited to control cabinets where space, thermal load, and mounting weight must all be managed carefully.
