Product Description:
The AKD-P04807-NCEI-0000 is a servo drive produced by Kollmorgen within the AKD Servo Drives series. It converts incoming three-phase power into controlled pulse-width-modulated output for brushless motors and monitors feedback to hold commanded torque, speed, or position. By integrating current loops, fieldbus communication, and safety circuitry in one enclosure, the unit supports high-performance axis control in packaging lines, pick-and-place robots, and general material-handling equipment. The drive also allows fine gain tuning to match different motor inertias without additional hardware, which helps maintain stable response during changing load conditions.
This model is delivered in the Position Indexer version, allowing stand-alone execution of absolute or incremental moves stored in internal tables. Real-time coordination with higher-level controllers is carried over Ethernet/IP, which supports implicit cyclic messaging for synchronized motion and explicit messaging for setup tasks. The power stage accepts a three-phase input of 240 / 480 Vac 3~, enabling the same chassis to run on either 208–240 V or 380–480 V mains used in different facilities. Under continuous duty, the output current is 48 Arms, and for short acceleration or deceleration bursts it can supply 96 Arms for five seconds to support higher temporary torque demand.
The upstream supply must accommodate 40.9 kVA of apparent power, so branch protection devices and conductors can be sized accordingly. The standard-width housing weighs 11.5 kg, which keeps handling manageable during backplate mounting and cabinet assembly while still fitting compact control enclosures. The Standard USA customization variant uses North American style connectors and parameter defaults for UL-focused builds. The unit remains part of the wider AKD Servo Drive platform, which supports common accessory use in multi-axis cabinet layouts.
