Product Description:
The AKD-P02407-NBS3-0000 Ethernet supporting servo drive produced by Kollmorgen should always be installed inside an appropriate closed control cabinet. This product can be connected to a two-wire Hiperface DSL feedback system using a Kollmorgen cable of maximum 25 meters in length. The device has a unique MAC address that is set by the manufacturer and cannot be changed by the user. This unit supports connectivity to a SERCOS III network as a slave drive using its in-port X5 and out-port X6 RJ-45 connectors with inbuilt LEDs to depict the communication status. It supports ring as well as line topologies. The drive has a lethal electrical voltage at its live parts during its operation phase that can cause personnel injury due to electric shock. This product must encompass a warning note on its housing indicating the possibility of an automatic restart if the DRV.ENDEFAULT parameter is set to 1. The device heatsink can have a temperature as high as 80 °C during its operation phase. This unit related fieldbus setup has to be done in accordance with its fieldbus manual that is included in the DVD that comes along with the drive. The servo drive related operating parameters can be modified and saved using the WorkBench setup software. It has to be adapted to the requirements of the machine in which the installation is done by setting up the appropriate parameters. This product must be associated with the minimum wiring for doing an initial drive test soon after it is unpacked and mounted.
