The AKD-P02406-NBAN-0000 is a servo drive manufactured by Kollmorgen as part of the AKD Servo Drives series. Installed inside a control cabinet, the unit converts incoming AC power into controlled three-phase output and executes motion commands supplied by a PLC or motion controller. It delivers regulated current to a brushless servo motor so machine axes can reach commanded speed, torque, or indexed positions with low following error. This closed-loop operation helps the axis respond consistently to changing loads in packaging, handling, and other automated equipment.

Configured for the Standard USA variant, the drive is prepared for common North American installations. Its integrated controller uses the Position Indexer version, so indexing profiles and absolute position targets can be programmed directly in the drive without external interpolation. Command references enter through the Analog interface, allowing ±10 V or 4–20 mA signals to trigger velocity, torque, or position functions. This arrangement allows the unit to accept direct commands from external control hardware for basic motion tasks. The thermal design supports a continuous motor line current of 24 Arms, which supports stable operation during long production runs. It can also supply up to 48 Arms for five seconds during short overload events such as rapid acceleration or brief disturbances.
