The AKD-P01207-NCEC-0091 servo drive is built by Kollmorgen and belongs to the AKD servo drive line. This version includes a Position Indexer control package, so it can store motion sequences internally and execute indexed moves without requiring external interpolation for every step. It is intended to command rotary or linear servomotors from a machine controller by converting motion commands into regulated current and voltage. By handling the servo regulation inside the drive, the unit reduces the amount of low-level motor control processing required from the higher-level controller. This arrangement suits packaging systems, assembly machines, and material-handling axes that require accurate positioning and repeatable motion.
