Product Description:
The AKD-P01207-NBS3-0000 is a three-phase servo drive manufactured by Kollmorgen and supplied within the AKD Servo Drives series. It converts incoming mains power into controlled output for brushless servo motors used on packaging lines, material-handling axes, and general factory automation. By regulating current, velocity, and position, the module links a supervisory controller to a motor shaft and supports repeatable machine motion. This makes it suitable for applications that require coordinated acceleration, deceleration, and stable control under changing load conditions.
Its drive version is Position Indexer, so the axis can run stored absolute and relative move sequences without constant host intervention. High-speed command exchange is handled through SERCOS III, a deterministic Ethernet fieldbus that supports synchronized cycle times of less than 1 ms. The drive accepts a mains input of 240 / 480 Vac 3~ and supplies a continuous motor current of 12 Arms. It can also surge to 30 Arms for up to five seconds to overcome inertial loads during short demand peaks. On the supply side, it draws an apparent power of 7.65 kVA during rated operation, which is useful when sizing upstream electrical equipment in the cabinet.
The customization variant marked Standard USA indicates that wiring colors, protective devices, and default parameters align with North American electrical practice. A base hardware configuration of no add-on hardware for revision 8 and later means optional analog, resolver, or safe torque off functions are integrated into the main revision rather than added as separate slot modules. The unit has a mass of 5.3 kg, which helps keep handling manageable during panel installation. This layout also preserves panel depth by avoiding extra plug-in cards and keeping the enclosure arrangement more compact.
