The AKD-P01207-NACN-0056 is a servo drive released by Kollmorgen within the AKD Servo Drives series. As a panel-mounted drive controller, it conditions three-phase power and executes motion commands to regulate torque, speed, and position of matched synchronous motors used in packaging lines, material handling axes, and automated test stands. The drive version is a Position Indexer, so it can store multiple motion sequences internally and advance between them on digital triggers without external interpolation. This allows the unit to handle indexed moves locally when an application needs repeatable point-to-point motion without relying on a higher-level controller for every step.

For network integration, a CANopen fieldbus port handles PDO cyclic data and SDO parameter access, allowing decentralized axis coordination. Under continuous duty, the power stage is rated for 12 Arms of output current, while short transients of up to five seconds can reach 30 Arms to support acceleration bursts or sudden load changes. The drive is supplied in the rev 7 base configuration without optional I/O or feedback daughtercards, so the expansion slot remains available.
