In an automation cell, this unit sits between the mains supply and a servomotor, converting incoming AC power into precisely regulated output current while executing position loops within the drive. By closing the control loop locally, the device reduces controller bandwidth demands on the PLC or industrial PC that coordinates the overall machine.

This model delivers a continuous motor winding current of 12 Arms, giving it enough steady-state capacity for mid-range rotary axes or compact gantries. For rapid accelerations, it can surge to 30 Arms for five seconds without violating thermal limits, allowing the motor to overcome inertial loads quickly.
