Product Description:
The AKD-P00606-NCPN-0000 is a servo drive manufactured by Kollmorgen and supplied within the AKD Servo Drives series. As a panel-mounted power stage, it regulates current and voltage to a synchronous or induction motor while exchanging real-time motion commands with the control system. The unit is intended for automated equipment where compact drive electronics must coordinate closely with upstream motion control. In industrial automation cells, the drive closes the torque and velocity loops so that actuators hold accurate positions under varying load.
The drive operates from a 120 / 240 Vac 1~/3~ single-phase or three-phase input, allowing it to be wired to standard plant mains without an isolation transformer. Under continuous duty, it delivers a phase current of 6 Arms, which suits mid-frame motors used on indexing tables and small gantries. For short accelerations, it can supply 18 Arms for five seconds, giving the machine additional burst torque before thermal limits are reached. The power section absorbs up to 2.38 KVA at the rated operating point, which is useful when selecting branch circuit protection and cabinet cooling. Command and diagnostic data are passed over PROFINET RT, so the axis can be synchronized with controllers that follow the IEC-61158 real-time Ethernet profile.
The drive uses the Position Indexer version, which lets the unit execute indexed moves locally through digital I/O or fieldbus telegrams. This mode supports repetitive point-to-point motion without requiring every move segment to be generated by the main controller. The hardware follows the Standard USA customization, so connector labeling, EMC filtering, and safety interlocks match North American installation practice. A mass of 1.1 kg keeps panel layout flexible and reduces mechanical stress on back-plate mounts during transport and vibration. It also helps simplify compact enclosure layouts where available mounting space is limited.
