Product Description:
Kollmorgen manufactures the AKD-P00606-NCEI-0000 as part of its AKD Servo Drives series. This servo drive regulates torque, speed, and position for synchronous motors in automated cells, packaging lines, and gantry stages where a compact, panel-mounted controller is preferred. It sits between the motion processor and the motor, converting incoming AC power into precisely metered output current while executing closed-loop commands from higher-level control systems.
The unit is shipped in the Position Indexer version, so it can store and step through indexed moves without an external PLC issuing every trajectory point. Real-time communication uses Ethernet/IP, allowing deterministic data exchange with drives, I/O blocks, and safety modules over standard CAT5e cabling. Continuous phase current is rated at 6 Arms, so the drive can support steady motor loads without exceeding thermal limits. For rapid accelerations or short load spikes, it can produce up to 18 Arms for five seconds, giving the machine additional starting torque without requiring a larger power stage. The power section draws a maximum apparent power of 2.38 kVA, which is useful for branch-circuit and transformer sizing in compact control panels.
The dual-rated input of 120/240 Vac 1~/3~ accommodates both single-phase and three-phase supplies, which supports use in laboratory benches, pilot systems, and factory mains. At only 1.1 kg, the drive adds little mass to a control cabinet and helps keep overall panel loading low. The hardware is supplied in the Standard USA customization, so labeling and fusing practices match North American conventions. The AKD Servo Drive platform uses pin-compatible connectors across the family, which supports consistent panel layouts and predictable cable routing.
