Product Description:
The AKD-P00606-NBPN-0000 is a robust servo drive intended for use in industrial plants. The unit is configured using the setup wizard of Kollmorgen’s WorkBench software. The software features an intuitive graphical interface for easy installation, efficient programming, and troubleshooting. The device is extremely versatile with multiple feedback options. It incorporates an autotuning mechanism that is wizard-based. The drive features a current rating of 6 Arms and a voltage rating of 120/240 VAC and can be connected to a single-phase or three-phase industrial supply network. The unit is easy to use with advanced autotuning. With high bandwidth torque- and velocity- loops, this servo drive sports the fastest digital current loop in the market. The drive’s peak time is 5 seconds, and its update rate is 1.5 MHz. The maximum continuous regen power of the unit with its external resistor is 1.5 kW. The device has a peak regen power of 5.4 kW with the external resistor for 1 second. The absorption energy in its capacitors at 240 V is 20 W with +/-20% tolerance. Only professional staff who are qualified in electrical engineering must install the servo drive. Green colored wires with yellow stripes (one or more) must be used only for PE wiring. The drive should be installed and wired when it is not live or under operation. The drive should be mounted in vertical position. The device should be connected only with cables supplied by the manufacturer. The servo drive must be decommissioned only after switching off the main switch and securing the drive against restarting. The unit must be installed only in machines that adhere to the required EC standards or directives.
Frequently Asked Questions about AKD-P00606-NBPN-0000:
Q: What happens when the dynamic braking mode is activated in the AKD servo drive?
A: When the dynamic braking mode is activated, the AKD servo drive causes shorting of the motor terminals in phase with the back EMF and continues to run the non-force producing current loop with no current.
Q: Can the electrical connections of the AKD servo drive be undone when it is live?
A: No, the electrical connections of the AKD servo drive must not be undone when it is live or under operation.
Q: Can devices that produce magnetic fields be mounted directly near the servo drive?
A: No, devices that produce magnetic fields should not be mounted near the AKD servo drive.
Q: Is there a dynamic braking mode in the AKD servo drive?
A: Yes, the AKD servo drive has a built-in advanced dynamic braking mode which is fully operated in hardware.
Q: What is the DC bus capacitance of the AKD servo drive?
A: The DC bus capacitance of the AKD servo drive is 940 microfarads.
