The AKD-P00606-NBEC-0069 is an AC servo drive produced by Kollmorgen as part of the AKD Servo Drives series. Designed to regulate torque, velocity, and position of compatible servomotors, the unit functions as the power stage between a motion controller and the motor in automated machinery. By converting incoming AC mains power to a controlled three-phase output, it provides the closed-loop response required for pick-and-place systems, packaging stations, and similar applications that demand repeatable positioning under varying load profiles.

During continuous operation, the drive delivers a nominal phase current of 6 Arms, which indicates the steady-state torque the attached motor can develop without thermal derating. For rapid accelerations, it can supply up to 18 Arms for five seconds, enabling the axis to overcome inertia peaks or short load disturbances. Line power requirements are bounded by a sustained input rating of 2.38 kVA, so cabinet circuit protection and wiring can be sized accordingly. The accepted mains range is 120 / 240 Vac 1~/3~, so the same hardware can be wired to single-phase or three-phase sources. Command and diagnostic data move over EtherCAT, giving deterministic cycle times for synchronized multi-axis motion while keeping drive wiring to a single network cable.

The drive is supplied in the Position Indexer version, so it stores motion sequences internally and can execute point-to-point moves without an external PLC. The hardware extension is None (rev 8+), so the drive is supplied without an added extension module. At only 1.1 kg, the module fits on DIN rail or panel mounts with minimal structural support and adds little mass to the control panel. It also uses the same basic control structure and motor auto-tuning routines found across the AKD line for compatible servomotors.
