Product Description:
The AKD-P00606-NAEC-0051 is a single-axis AC servo drive produced by Kollmorgen within the AKD Servo Drives series. The unit regulates torque, speed, or position of brushless servomotors in automated machinery. By converting fixed-frequency mains power into a controlled variable-frequency output, it closes the loop between the motion controller and the motor feedback device. Closed-loop operation helps the drive correct commanded motion when load conditions change during operation. This supports precise indexing, coordinated motion, and rapid settling in packaging, pick-and-place, and general factory automation equipment.
The drive is supplied in the Position Indexer version, so it can run stand-alone motion profiles without an external PLC. Communication and real-time synchronization occur over EtherCAT, allowing deterministic data exchange with distributed control systems. Continuous output capability is 6 A rms, and transient demand can reach 18 A rms for five seconds to support acceleration of higher-inertia loads. During rated operation, the converter draws 2.38 kVA from the supply, which helps with supply sizing and thermal planning inside the control cabinet. The network interface is suitable for synchronized motion tasks where command updates and status feedback must remain closely timed.
The power stage accepts 120/240 VAC, single-phase or three-phase input, which supports installation on common industrial power sources. At 1.1 kg, the slim housing helps reduce cabinet mass and supports compact mounting arrangements. The optional I/O and safety board selection is none, revision 7, so the base unit is supplied without add-on boards. Single-phase or three-phase input acceptance can simplify integration where available utility power differs from one machine location to another. The compact enclosure also fits applications where panel space is limited.
