The AKD-P00306-NACN-0000 servo drive is produced by Kollmorgen as part of the AKD Servo Drives series. This module is intended to command brushless and induction motors in packaging, material-handling, and machine-tool systems. It accepts single-phase or three-phase utility power, rectifies it, and modulates the output to match torque and speed references from a higher-level controller. By integrating power conversion with embedded motion functions, the drive simplifies panel wiring and reduces the need for external position controllers in many automation cells. This arrangement also supports compact machine layouts where control and power hardware must fit into limited cabinet space.

The drive accepts an input range of 120 / 240 Vac 1~/3~, so it can operate on light-duty single-phase circuits or standard three-phase mains without taps or autotransformers. At full duty, the converter draws up to 1.2 kVA and can continuously deliver a phase current of 3 Arms to the connected motor. Short demand peaks are handled by a five-second reserve of 9 Arms, which supports rapid acceleration profiles and brief load changes without interrupting normal operation. Motion control is handled by the built-in Position Indexer, while network exchange takes place over CANopen for coordinated operation with other devices on the machine. This combination allows the unit to manage local motion tasks while still exchanging commands and status data with the rest of the control system.

The drive weighs 1.1 kg, which supports dense panel layouts or direct mounting on moving axes when needed. The expansion-slot option is None (rev 7), which means no optional extension boards occupy the internal slot and the standard I/O remains available. The regional version is Standard USA, so labeling and default protective settings align with common North American control cabinets. The low mass also helps when the surrounding machine structure must carry the drive together with the motor cabling and related hardware.
