Product Description:
The AKD-N01207-DFEC-E000 is an AC servo drive developed by Kollmorgen within the AKD Servo Drives series. This drive conditions three-phase mains power, modulates current, and outputs precise voltage waveforms to command synchronous or induction servomotors used in positioning axes, packaging stations, and pick-and-place gantries. By combining power conversion, control logic, and network interfaces in one unit, it forms the link between higher-level motion controllers and motor windings. In operation, that arrangement supports closed-loop speed and torque regulation so the connected axis can respond accurately to changing load and motion commands.
The unit uses a near-servo-drive mechanical design with IP65/67 protection, so it can be mounted directly on a machine while resisting dust and high-pressure water. Motion commands and status data move over the deterministic fieldbus interface EtherCAT, allowing tightly synchronized communication with multi-axis controllers. Under continuous duty, it delivers a nominal motor phase current of 12 Arms, and for rapid accelerations it can furnish up to 30 Arms for five seconds to help maintain torque during load peaks. The power section is sized for a rated input of 7.65 kVA, which indicates the electrical demand to consider when selecting supply equipment and protective devices.
For compatibility with international plants, the drive accepts a three-phase mains range of 240 / 480 Vac 3~, allowing the same model to operate on either low- or high-voltage factory distribution systems. The integrated Feedback Conn. and tertiary fieldbus hardware extension provides direct encoder wiring and an auxiliary communication path for diagnostics. The unit is supplied with Standard EU English software text, so menu labels and messages follow that language set. Installation is also eased by a mass of 5.3 kg, which keeps bracket loading moderate and makes the assembly easier to position on the machine.
