Product Description:
The AKD-N00307-DSEC-E000 is a near-motor servo drive produced by Kollmorgen for the AKD Servo Drives series. It functions as a decentralized power module that sits close to the axis and supplies regulated three-phase power to compatible servo motors. By closing the current and velocity loops locally, it helps machine controllers execute accurate speed and position commands in conveyors, pick-and-place stages, and other automated equipment. Its location near the motor also helps minimize power and feedback cable lengths in distributed machine layouts.
This drive accepts a 240/480 VAC three-phase input and can draw up to 2.24 kVA at its rated continuous load. Internally, the power stage delivers a nominal motor phase current of 3 A rms, providing steady torque for sustained motion profiles. For rapid acceleration or short-term load changes, it can supply a peak output of 9 A rms for five seconds before current foldback engages. These ratings allow the module to operate with low-to-medium-inertia servo motors while keeping cabinet supply requirements modest. The available peak current supports brief periods of increased torque without requiring the drive to sustain that elevated output continuously.
The housing provides IP65/IP67 protection, keeping the electronics sealed against dust, water jets, and temporary immersion during on-machine installation. Real-time communication is handled through EtherCAT, enabling microsecond-level synchronization with multi-axis motion controllers. The integrated feedback connection and local STO option supports encoder wiring and provides a hardware path that removes motor torque when the Safe Torque Off circuit is triggered. A mass of 2.7 kg reduces the load placed on machine-mounted brackets and structural panels. The interface uses Standard EU English for its parameter menus, allowing operating information to be presented in English. The combination of local feedback connections and EtherCAT communication reduces the amount of wiring routed back to the main control cabinet.
