The AKT-PSF-024-000 is a power feed terminal produced by Kollmorgen for the AKT IO Terminals series. Within a distributed I/O rack, the unit introduces the 24-volt supply line to subsequent slices and isolates upstream circuits when an overload occurs. As part of an automation island, it supplements motion controllers and field devices by refreshing the supply rail and maintaining bus continuity.
Operating from a nominal system voltage of 24 V DC, the terminal energizes downstream modules while a built-in fuse guards against shorts or overcurrent conditions, providing fuse protection directly on the DIN rail. The slim housing measures 12 mm wide, allowing dense packing inside control cabinets without obstructing airflow. A red defect LED on the front face works with the integrated diagnostics function, giving an immediate visual indication when the channel fuse opens or when an abnormal load is detected. Because a protective earth contact is present, earth continuity is passed through the bus carrier. All status messages, including fuse state and supply presence, are forwarded to the Advanced Kollmorgen Terminal system image so the PLC can react programmatically.
Downstream load capacity is reinforced by 1 additional power contact that delivers the renewed in-feed requested by high-current slices. A green Power LED confirms that this feed is active, while the module exports a process image of 2 bits, with one bit each for power and fuse status. Field installation is simplified because All Bus Terminals remain pluggable; the supply rail is introduced through this Power Feed Terminal, and the standard bus is looped through and reported to preserve deterministic communication. The terminal supports online diagnostics, renewed in-feed capability, and PE continuity without adding excess width.
