The AKT-DN-008-000 digital input terminal module can be installed easily through DIN rail mounting. There is no specific installation position for this module from Kollmorgen. The device features both ’0' and ’1' signal voltages and currents. It is equipped with eight inputs and has no outputs. The unit has an electrical isolation voltage of 500 VRMS. The product features a shock resistance that complies with EN 60068-2-27/29 specifications and an EMC emission based on EN 61000-6-4 specifications. This module takes up minimum space in the control cabinet. All bus terminal inputs use the same 0V power contact as the reference ground. The digital device has a one-year industrial warranty.

The input module makes use of light-emitting diodes to display the status of the eight channels of the bus terminals. It supports the connection of a multi-channel sensor with minimum wiring in the least space by implementing the single-ended connection technique. The device has a nominal voltage rating of 24VDC with or without a minor variation. The ’0' signal voltage can range between -3V and 5V while the ’1' signal current is between 0mA and 1.5mA. The bus has a typical current consumption of 5mA while the input filter features a time delay of 3ms.

The device features looped-through power contacts. The bus terminals of the module are equipped with pluggable wiring. The EtherCAT bus is capable of recognizing the terminal automatically when connected. This helps in easy configuration based on the need.
