It serves as a voltage output interface that converts numerical commands from the controller into field-level signals used by valves, inverters, and transducers within an automated cell. By integrating directly into the series backplane, the unit simplifies the distribution of continuous control commands across a decentralized machine network. Typical applications include proportional valve positioning and speed references for variable-frequency drives where fine voltage modulation is required.
The module type is analog output, and its architecture provides 4 channels with voltage stages that each cover a 0 to 10 VDC range. The signal type is analog, so each port sources a continuously variable level rather than discrete pulses. Each channel transmits over a 2-wire connection that is referenced to the 0 V power contact, which acts as the module ground. Signal conversion works with 12-bit depth encoded in two's complement format.
