Product Description:
The AKT-AT-220-000 is an analog output terminal manufactured by Kollmorgen within the AKT IO Terminals series. It is part of the Advanced Kollmorgen Terminal product line and is intended for DIN-rail installations where distributed control nodes must drive current-controlled actuators. The terminal suits compact control stations that need direct analog control without a separate signal conditioner. By supplying two independent current channels, the terminal converts controller data into field currents so that motion axes, valves, and process instruments receive precise analog commands.
This module provides two channels of current output and uses an analog signal type across a 0–20 mA signal range. Each output is generated with 12-bit resolution, and the process image uses two 16-bit words in Two’s Complement format for signed values. That data format allows the control system to pass command values in a predictable way during cyclic updates. The terminal is powered from a dedicated 24 VDC field supply and fits on a standard DIN rail beside other I/O slices. Its housing has an IP20 protection rating, and the unit can be mounted in any orientation during normal installation.
The slice occupies only 12.0 mm width on the rail, which helps conserve cabinet space in dense I/O stations. The narrow housing also leaves more room for power distribution terminals and neighboring interface modules in the same row. Output data is refreshed within the control cycle, and the module forces a safe update if communication is lost for longer than a 100 ms watchdog timeout. Signal accuracy is maintained with a ±0.1% FS full-scale error, while transfer performance is refined by a ±0.5 LSB linearity error. Stable current delivery is useful for proportional devices that respond directly to analog command levels.
