Product Description:
The ACS4820-700C is a super-drive motor controller designed by Danaher as part of its effort to improve the quality of motion systems in industrial applications. This controller is built specifically for the control of motors in battery-powered electric vehicles; it should only be connected to direct current battery power sources and for use with low-voltage asynchronous motor designs. The unique operation capabilities of this controller require several standard operation features, such as its modern AC flux-vector control technique for improved performance and operating efficiency. The controller also features a closed loop speed regulator, which allows it to provide an unrivalled level of speed control during active motor operation. The converter also provides neutral braking for maintaining position when stopped.
The ACS4820-700C is built to carry out four quadrant operation; this unique feature allows it to direct and control motor operations in both forward and reverse directions without the need for direction contactors. Also, during dynamic barking, this controller gracefully handles braking energy generated by the integrated motors down to zero speed. This converter maintains an impressively robust operation and is fully protected against common damages like Undervoltage, overvoltage, overcurrent, reverse polarity, and overtemperature conditions. All possible sources of heat in this product unit are mounted on its heatsink, which in turn dissipates excess heat out of the housing of the controller.
The ACS4820-700C allows customers total control over the acceleration, braking and speed status of the motion system. When there is a risk for errors, the converter alerts operators by displaying the appropriate error codes on its LED display unit. As an additional protection, the controller automatically stops motion and shuts down the power supply to the connected motor when an error is detected.
