It functions as a compact controller for autonomous vehicles and machines by coordinating drive signals, navigation feedback, and safety I/O. This control capability allows automated guided carts, conveyors, and material-handling modules to move accurately within industrial facilities while responding to changing commands and sensor data.
The controller’s open architecture is built around a 32-bit RISC processor that runs the Linux operating system, allowing user-defined code to execute real-time tasks. Field wiring is simplified by 11 analog inputs, 12 digital inputs, 16 discrete outputs, and 6 encoder inputs; these channels allow the unit to read sensors, issue motion commands, and close position loops without additional expansion cards. Maximum power draw is limited to 5 W, which keeps cabinet heat generation low and permits fanless cooling in sealed installations. Programming is supported through C or IEC 61131-3 languages. The controller is programmable, and its onboard flash memory can store user applications that start automatically when power is applied.
The aluminum housing measures 195 mm deep, 50 mm high, and 125 mm wide, enabling shallow panel mounting behind machine guards.
