Product Description:
ACO5020D is a Kollmorgen high frequency inverter. It carries potentially dangerous high voltages that may be present even after the power has been shut off. Personnel working on the unit must check for presence of current and voltages. When in Stop mode, the drive unit is active and motor terminals carry 300 Volts DC relative to the ground. Surface of the unit can get very hot during operation and can cause burns if touched accidentally. Therefore, to prevent injury and property damage, only qualified engineering personnel should work on the unit. The unit can be programmed from a PC based software which is supplied with the unit on a CD-ROM. Features supported by the unit include Pulse Amplitude Modulation (PAM), selective harmonic suppressions, 32 motor parameters, and CE compliance.
Input voltage range for the ACO5020D is 200 to 480 Volts AC. The unit features a dynamic braking resistor and operators can add an optional external braking resistor. A RS-485 port is available for connecting to a keypad. Power ratings for the ACO5020D unit include 20 Amps nominal current, 30 Amps peak current, 12 kVA maximum motor output at 230 Volts AC, 20 kVA maximum motor output at 400 Volts AC, and 800 Watts maximum power dissipation. The unit can handle resistive and inductive loads. Its terminals support phase-to-phase short-circuit protection. Ground short-circuit protection is available during power ON and at its terminals. The ambient temperature should not exceed 40 degrees Celsius. The output derates by 3% per degrees Celsius for temperatures between 40 and 50 degrees Celsius. Power output of the drive unit derates by 5% per 1000 meters at altitudes above 1000 meters.
