Product Description:
ACO5000A is an industrial frequency inverter drive. It is designed by Kollmorgen for safely driving high-speed machining spindles. Dimensions of the unit are 279 x 71 x 298.5 millimeters. It is designed for vertical mounting. When installed inside a cabinet, at least 10 centimeters of free space must be left on the top of the unit for proper cooling. Two terminal blocks are located at the front of the unit. Terminal block XA1 includes a 24 Volts DC input, the mains AC inputs, one removable block and external overload protection. All terminals require 10 mm2 cables. Terminal block XD1 includes two PTC inputs, the motor output, and an earth connection. All terminals require 10 mm2 cables. A 7-segment display shows the operating status of the drive. It also functions as a fault indicator.
A sensor input for speed feedback is available on the front panel and supports TTL encoder or a magneto-resistive sensor. The ACO5000A drive requires 200 to 480 Volts AC input at 50/60 Hertz and supports auto-ranging. Its maximum DC output is 36 Amps. An 830 Ohms dynamic braking resistor with 100 Watts continuous power rating is integrated into the unit. The peak power handling capability of the resistor is 1000 Watts. A USB port is internally interconnected to drives. A remote KeyPad TL5 unit can be connected to the drive via a RS-485 port. The drive supports Pulse Amplitude modulation or PAM with a regulated DC bus. It also features ACOMEL selective harmonic suppression for superior performance. Operators can use a Terminal block TL5 terminal or Profibus to operate the drive unit. Windows programing software is also available for drive operation.
