The 17.Z2.F04-1003 is a passive three-phase motor choke produced by KEB within the Z2 Three Phase Motor Chokes series. Positioned between a frequency inverter and an AC motor, the choke adds inductance to the output circuit so that differential current peaks are flattened and electromagnetic emissions are reduced. By smoothing the current waveform, it protects motor insulation and minimizes harmonic feedback into the power supply in general industrial automation assemblies. Its passive design does not require a separate control supply or communication connection, allowing it to operate directly within the motor power circuit.
The choke has an inductance of 0.219 mH, which limits the rate of current change without causing excessive voltage drop. It carries a continuous phase current of 42 A, allowing drive outputs of up to approximately 38 kW to be filtered without saturation. Its operating line voltage is rated at 400 VAC, matching the common three-phase power used by European production machinery.
