Product Description:
The G2.2A-DK90L4TS is a gear-integrated synchronous servo motor produced by KEB and supplied within the SM Synchronous Servo Motors series. Designed for closed-loop motion tasks, the unit combines a four-pole permanent-magnet stator with a two-stage helical reducer to deliver controlled torque at low output speeds. It is intended for industrial automation axes that require repeatable positioning and continuous operation under moderate environmental exposure.
Electrically, the servo accepts a line supply of 230/400 VAC at a rated network frequency of 50 Hz. Within that operating range, the stator delivers a continuous mechanical output of 1.5 kW under duty rating S1. The magnetic circuit uses a 4-pole field, keeping speed constants compatible with standard inverter increments while limiting torque ripple. Foot mounting provides rigid installation on machine beds, and the internal two-stage helical gearbox multiplies shaft torque without requiring an external reducer. A thermo-relay in the windings disconnects the drive if abnormal winding temperature is detected, helping protect insulation life.
The motor can operate at ambient temperatures up to +40 °C and at site elevations not exceeding 2000 m. With an enclosure rated IP55, the housing resists dust ingress and low-pressure water jets, allowing placement near process equipment without a separate cabinet. The gearbox uses helical gearing, which produces smoother load transfer than spur alternatives and reduces audible noise at the output. The two gear stages provide a fixed ratio, which can help keep backlash behavior predictable during motion control. The foot support pattern aligns with IEC frame 90, allowing installation on standard machine bases used for that frame size. As temperatures approach the operating limit, the built-in winding protection helps prevent overheating of the insulation system.
