The F1.SM.001-249F is a synchronous servo motor manufactured by KEB and supplied under the SM Synchronous Servo Motors series. Built for integration with KEB COMBIVERT inverters, the unit converts controlled electrical output into precise mechanical motion for industrial automation. It drives axes that must follow programmed position, speed, or torque profiles, including indexing tables, pick-and-place heads, and small press rams. The motor’s permanent-magnet design supports fast acceleration, repeatable stopping points, and low following errors in production machinery.
The motor has a terminal voltage rating of 330 V for the 400 V class with a 560 V DC bus, matching the rectified three-phase supplies commonly found in control cabinets. At a nominal speed of 2000 rpm, rotor position is continuously measured by the ERN 1387 sine/cosine encoder, enabling high-bandwidth servo loops and precise signal interpolation within the drive. The IP54 enclosure protects internal components against limited dust ingress and water splashes during routine cleaning. Heat generated under cyclic loads is removed through a self-cooling housing, avoiding the need for an external fan. The lack of forced airflow also reduces the movement of airborne contaminants around the motor housing.
