The B2.SM.000-4200 is a synchronous servo motor built by KEB within the SM Synchronous Servo Motors series. Designed for closed-loop positioning and velocity control, the unit converts electrical energy into precisely regulated rotary motion for pick-and-place stations, packaging lines, and other automated machinery.
During continuous duty the motor is energized with a supply of 230 V, delivering a mechanical output of 540 W at the rated operating point. Its rated shaft speed of 4000 rpm matches drive controllers that issue high-resolution velocity commands, while a stall torque of 1.5 Nm secures loads when motion is momentarily halted. Reaching this stall torque draws only 3.2 A, so cabinet-mounted electronics can be sized modestly; however, transient peaks up to 19.2 A must be tolerated during rapid acceleration. The rated phase current is 2.9 A, providing the reference for thermal calculations and drive sizing.
