A spring-applied holding brake rated for 24 V (+6%, -10%) engages with a holding torque of 2.0 Nm, and during release it draws only 0.46 A, minimizing power bus loading in emergency release circuits. Because the motor belongs to the 200 V class, insulation stress remains moderate, and self-cooling avoids forced-air maintenance. The holding brake also helps keep the shaft in position when the axis is stopped and main drive power is removed.
