Product Description:
KEB manufactures the 63.SM.200.34CJ as a member of its SM Synchronous Servo Motors series. The unit is a brushless three-phase AC servo motor designed for precise industrial automation, where a drive regulates current to command torque and speed in real time. By pairing rare-earth magnets with a stator optimized for low cogging, the motor maintains stable motion profiles in packaging lines, gantry axes, and material-handling robots. Electronic commutation eliminates brush wear and supports consistent performance during repetitive positioning cycles.
The motor operates at a rated shaft speed of 3000 rpm and provides a continuous torque output of 16.0 Nm. When the axis is stopped but energized, the servo develops up to 22 Nm of stall torque, allowing drive current to hold static loads in place. The motor reaches a maximum speed of 4000 rpm, enabling rapid indexing and short positioning cycles when the connected drive and load permit higher velocity. Mechanical attachment uses an IM B5 flange mounting arrangement, which seats the housing securely against the machine frame and supports accurate shaft alignment. An NdFeB rotor provides high magnetic flux density while keeping rotor mass low for responsive acceleration and deceleration.
For brief moves that exceed its continuous capability, the motor can produce a peak torque of 66.0 Nm to support rapid acceleration under demanding loads. Dynamic behavior is aided by a rotor inertia of 18.8 kg cm², which supports controlled reversals and helps smooth small oscillations in servo loops. The motor weighs 21.5 kg, providing thermal mass and helping damp vibration after the flange is secured. The housing has an IP64 protection rating, preventing dust ingress and protecting internal components against water spray from any direction. Balance quality grade R minimizes residual vibration at high speed, which supports encoder accuracy and reduces stress on the bearings during extended operating cycles.
