Product Description:
The 33.SM.200-3220 is a synchronous servo motor produced by KEB within the SM Synchronous Servo Motors series. The unit is a three-phase rotary actuator intended for closed-loop positioning and speed control in machinery that requires compact torque density. Its long housing design provides space for the active motor components without increasing the frame width. The integrated terminal box simplifies cable routing between the motor and drive. Its protected housing permits installation in general industrial areas where moderate dust or splashing water may be present.
The motor provides a stall torque of 2.5 Nm, giving the drive system static holding force for indexing tables and pick-and-place axes. The mechanical output can accelerate to 3000 rpm, providing a broad operating range for machinery that requires controlled high-speed movement. The windings are designed for a DC bus voltage of 190 V in a 230 V class converter, allowing compatible KEB inverters to supply the motor without transformer isolation. The rotor has a moment of inertia of 1.2 kg cm², which supports responsive acceleration while limiting regenerative energy during deceleration. The enclosure has an IP54 protection rating, which limits dust ingress and protects the internal components against splashing water from any direction.
The motor uses self-cooling to dissipate heat without forced-air ducts or an external fan. Its net weight is 3.3 kg, reducing the mechanical load when it is installed on a moving carriage or compact machine assembly. A B5 IFT5-compliant flange enables direct mounting to compatible reducers that have the appropriate pilot diameter and bolt pattern. The shaft includes a feather key that provides positive torque transmission to a coupling or gearbox input. Position feedback is supplied by a 2-pole SSBH-15-E-5 resolver, which provides rotor-angle information for commutation and closed-loop motion control. The top-mounted terminal box provides the electrical connection point and keeps conductors organized near the motor housing. The motor is supplied without a brake, so the shaft can rotate freely after the inverter disables torque unless an external mechanism restrains the load.
