The 23.SM.200-42B0 is a synchronous servo motor produced by KEB within the SM Synchronous Servo Motors series. The unit is intended for closed-loop positioning and velocity regulation in compact automation axes that convey light loads at high cycle rates. Its B5 IFT5 flange allows direct mounting to gearheads or machine frames, while self-cooling eliminates the need for external fans. This arrangement provides a compact electromechanical actuator for decentralized drive systems where installation space is limited.
The motor has a rated mechanical output of 0.25 kW while the shaft turns at 4500 rpm and delivers a continuous torque of 0.55 Nm. Under these operating conditions, the windings draw a phase current of 1.15 A, which the recommended KEB Controller 03 can supply without reaching its current limit. The rotor inertia of 0.11 kg·cm² supports rapid acceleration in pick-and-place systems while helping reduce overshoot during short positioning cycles.
