The 04.SM.000-340Q is a synchronous servo motor produced by KEB for the SM Synchronous Servo Motors series. It converts drive current into precise rotary motion so that positioning tables, feed axes, or packaging actuators can follow motion profiles generated by a controller. In automated lines, this motor delivers closed-loop speed regulation while remaining compact enough for direct mounting inside machinery. Its synchronous operation supports controlled acceleration, deceleration, and positioning when it is paired with a compatible servo drive.
The stator windings are cooled by ambient airflow through self-cooling, eliminating the need for external fans or liquid circuits. Power and feedback leads terminate inside a sealed terminal box, providing a fixed orientation for gland plates and cable routing. The IP54 housing blocks harmful dust accumulation and guards against water splashes, supporting installation outside a separate cabinet. During continuous duty, the rotor reaches a nominal speed of 3000 rpm. This speed is obtained from a DC bus voltage of 330 V when the motor is operated with a 400 V AC-class inverter.
