Product Description:
The 13.S6.A34-2100 is a servo drive unit produced by KEB and assigned to the S6 Combivert Servo Drives series. Within an automation cell, this device regulates voltage, current, and switching patterns so that matched AC servo motors follow commanded speed or torque profiles with precision. By converting fixed-frequency mains power into a modulated output, it synchronizes motor motion with PLC instructions, making it suitable for packaging machines, handling systems, and other dynamic axes. This control method supports steady acceleration, deceleration, and speed holding during repeated motion cycles.
This model connects to a three-phase supply, drawing power across 3 conductors at a nominal line potential of 400 V AC. Under rated conditions, it absorbs a line current of 17 A, a figure used for feeder sizing and protective device selection. Internally, insulated-gate drivers chop the DC link at 8 kHz; the higher carrier frequency reduces motor acoustic noise and smooths current waveforms, though it also increases switching losses that must be removed by the heat sink. The housing has an IP20 protection class, which permits installation inside a closed electrical cabinet where accidental contact and vertically falling debris are limited. It is intended for panel mounting rather than exposed machine mounting.
The output stage delivers up to 8.3 kVA of apparent power while supplying a continuous phase current of 12.0 A to the motor windings; this matches machines that require a typical shaft rating near 5.5 kW. The enclosure is 90 mm wide, 220 mm deep, and 310 mm high, allowing dense panel layouts where space is limited. This narrow front profile helps the drive fit beside neighboring units without obstructing cabinet airflow. The compact housing also helps preserve wiring space in crowded control cabinets.
