Product Description:
The 10.S6.A32-2100 servo drive is manufactured by KEB and belongs to the S6 Combivert Servo Drives series. Intended for closed-loop motion control, it links a machine-level controller with synchronous or asynchronous motors in automated packaging, conveying, and machining equipment. By rectifying, storing, and re-inverting three-phase mains power, the unit creates variable voltage and frequency waveforms that let industrial motors follow commanded speed or torque profiles with high repeatability. Its control architecture is suited to applications that require stable acceleration, controlled braking, and consistent response during changing load conditions.
At its continuous rating, the drive draws 8 A from a three-phase line that is nominally 400 VAC. It converts this input into a regulated output able to supply 5.8 A per phase, delivering up to 4 kVA of apparent power to the motor. Pulse-width modulation is set to a carrier frequency of 8 kHz, which balances audible noise and switching losses during normal operation. The control section includes two analog inputs, eight digital inputs, two digital outputs, and one relay output for command and status handling. A 24 V / 2 A brake output can power a motor-mounted holding brake so that vertical axes can remain secured without requiring an external relay.
During rapid accelerations, the inverter can furnish up to 200% of nominal current for 60 seconds when the duty cycle allows temporary overload. If quieter operation or faster current response is needed, the carrier frequency can be increased to a maximum of 16 kHz. The housing has an IP20 rating, so the unit must be installed inside a ventilated electrical enclosure. When paired with a correctly sized motor, it can deliver mechanical power of 2.2 kW while remaining within allowable temperature limits. The available outputs can transmit speed feedback, warning flags, or process values to a higher-level PLC during operation.
