The 07.S6.A12-2100 is an AC servo drive manufactured by KEB for the S6 Combivert Servo Drives series. It is designed to regulate the speed and torque of small-frame servo motors used throughout automated production equipment. By converting fixed mains power into a variable, pulse-width-modulated output, the drive forms the core of closed-loop motion axes that require precise positioning and repeatable velocity control in conveyor stations, pick-and-place gantries, and packaging lines.
On the power side, the drive accepts a three-phase supply of 400 V and can deliver up to 1.8 kVA of apparent output to the motor. Its continuous power rating is 0.75 kW, supported by a steady phase current of 2.6 A. For smooth torque production at low and medium speeds, the output bridge operates at a carrier frequency of 8 kHz. Eight digital inputs allow the controller to receive limit, home, or start commands, while two digital outputs can forward status or fault flags to external relays. The drive also provides one analog output for process feedback and two universal encoder ports that accept incremental, Hiperface, or EnDat feedback devices for tight closed-loop control.
In addition to the field I/O, the front panel carries 2 + 1 switchable analog input channels that can be configured for ±10 V or 0–20 mA signals, enabling speed reference, load setpoints, or temperature trimming from an external PLC. Real-time bus traffic is handled through the integrated EtherCAT interface, and a separate CAN bus link is also available for legacy networks. Integrated brake control energizes a motor holding brake during decelerations, while temperature sensors of the KTY, PT1000, or PTC type can be wired directly to the drive for thermal monitoring. Functional safety is addressed by the dual-channel STO function and safe brake control, both implemented in a certified Type 1 safety module.
