Product Description:
The 07.S6.A32-2100 is a servo drive unit manufactured by KEB for the S6 Combivert Servo Drives series. The device converts fixed-frequency mains power into variable-voltage and variable-frequency output for regulating industrial motors. It supports precise motion tasks in indexing conveyors, gantry axes, and form-fill-seal equipment. Normal switching occurs at 8 kHz, balancing acoustic noise with semiconductor stress during operation.
This model is designed for three-phase supplies with a nominal input voltage of 400 V. At this input, it draws a continuous current of 3.6 A and delivers a continuous motor phase current of 2.6 A. The inverter section can supply up to 1.8 kVA of apparent power, which is the maximum load that cabinet wiring and protective devices must accommodate. Short-term overload conditions are managed by an overcurrent limit of 300% of rated current, while additional overload periods allow 250% for 3 seconds and 200% for 60 seconds to support rapid acceleration or static holding torque. Internal losses reach 50 W at rated load and are removed through an aluminum heat sink. The assembly does not include an integrated high-frequency filter, so external electromagnetic compatibility components should be added when required. Dynamic braking is supported by an internal chopper that accepts an external resistor of at least 160 Ω and can redirect up to 5.5 A of braking current.
The intermediate circuit operates with a DC-link voltage of 565 V, providing sufficient headroom for field-oriented modulation. Connected motors can have a rated output of up to 0.75 kW, making the drive suitable for small servo motors or high-efficiency induction motors. When greater dynamic response is required, the IGBTs can operate at a maximum switching frequency of 16 kHz, although power dissipation increases at the higher frequency. The heat sink can reach a maximum temperature of 90 °C before the thermal monitor generates a fault. This protection prevents excessive thermal stress on the inverter components during sustained operation.
