Product Description:

The 00.S6.000-CMAT is an AC servo drive produced by KEB as part of the S6 Combivert Servo Drives series. By modulating the DC-link voltage, the unit delivers power with variable frequency and amplitude to machine-mounted motors. This controlled output supports positioning axes, packaging stations, and conveyor modules in industrial automation. The drive regulates motor torque, speed, and position according to commands received from the machine controller.

Control connectivity is provided through 8 digital inputs, 2 analog inputs, and 1 analog output. These channels allow a PLC to assign speed references, issue enable commands, and process real-time feedback. Two additional digital outputs and one relay output provide status signals for ready and fault conditions. An RS-232/485 diagnostic interface uses the DIN 66019 protocol, allowing configuration software to capture parameters or monitor operating data over long cable runs. Two multi-encoder channels accept incremental or absolute feedback for closed-loop motion control. KTY, PTC, and PT1000 temperature sensors can be connected to monitor the motor windings and trigger protective responses when temperatures exceed permitted limits. The enclosure meets the IP20 protection class, providing protection against accidental contact when the drive is installed inside a control cabinet.

The drive operates with mains frequencies of 50 or 60 Hz and supports a switching frequency of up to 16 kHz. The higher switching rate can reduce audible motor noise and produce smoother current control. A cutoff frequency of 6 Hz supports low-speed torque production without excessive cogging. The integrated brake transistor provides a 24 VDC, 2 A brake output for holding brakes used on vertical or gravity-loaded axes. The unit has a standby power loss of 8 W, helping limit heat generation while the connected machine is idle. The drive conforms to the CiA 402 profile, allowing motion commands, operating states, and fault handling to follow standardized CANopen and EtherCAT drive models. This profile also supports consistent communication between the servo drive and compatible higher-level motion controllers.
