Product Description:
The X1.S4.D2E-4011 is a servo controller produced by KEB as part of the S4 Combivert Servo Controllers series. Designed for cabinet installation, this controller supplies regulated power to a matched servo motor and executes position, speed, and torque loops demanded by automated material handling, packaging, and processing equipment. It accepts command references from a host control system, drives the motor with field-oriented PWM, and supervises machine safety, thereby forming the electrical interface between higher-level logic and mechanical motion.
Analog command channels on the X1.S4.D2E-4011 present an input resistance of 40 kΩ, preventing excessive load on upstream PLC outputs. The drive offers a stabilized reference of +10 V and accepts up to 4 mA of reference current for systems that prefer current-loop control. An auxiliary supply pin can source 60 mA, which is adequate for encoder or sensor power. The IG-IO option expands discrete I/O exchange, and internal interference suppression limits conducted emissions on the 200 V DC link. The controller uses self-ventilation, so no external fan is required, and all electronics reside inside the D-style housing. Installation depth is 160 mm, allowing tight placement in shallow enclosures without violating wire-bend radii.
Position feedback is handled through a resolver, giving shaft angle data to the control loop. Programmable digital outputs can switch up to 20 mA, enabling direct control of status indicators or interface inputs. When paired with a motor rated for 4000 rpm, the controller maintains speed within the allowable error band by closing the loop on real-time angle data. The front face measures 240 mm high and 90 mm wide, so it occupies little space in a 600 mm cabinet column. With a protection rating of IP20, live parts remain finger-safe once mounted, and the suppression network reduces radiated noise toward nearby signal wiring.
