Product Description:
The M3.S4.D2E-6002 is manufactured by KEB for the S4 Combivert Servo Controllers series. Classified as a Combivert Servo Controller, the unit regulates the speed and torque of AC motors in automated production cells. It is supplied in the M3 size with a D housing design that fits compatible S4 drive racks. The controller processes analog commands and motor feedback to maintain controlled operation as load and speed demands change.
This controller accepts a supply of 200 V and uses self-ventilated cooling to remove heat from the enclosure. The analog command channel resolves input signals at 12-bit resolution, while the feedback path delivers setpoint data at 10-bit resolution to support precise loop adjustments. A rated motor speed of 6000 rpm can be referenced with a 10 V command. The drive provides this reference through an internal output of 10 V with an output current of 4 mA. The built-in PTC interface detects a cold resistance of 400 Ω, resets at 500 Ω, and trips at 1650 Ω to protect the motor windings from excessive temperature. Resolver processing, incremental encoder simulation, and interference-suppression circuits are integrated into one subassembly, eliminating the need for external signal converters.
The installation altitude can reach 2000 m without derating. The enclosure has an IP20 protection rating, which prevents contact with hazardous internal components and blocks the entry of larger solid objects. A single status relay contact handles process signals up to 1 A at 30 V DC, allowing direct connection to circuits that accept dry-contact feedback. Command accuracy is supported by a reference-source tolerance of ±3%, which limits drift during closed-loop operation. The self-ventilated airflow must remain unobstructed so heat can leave the D housing during continuous operation. Proper cabinet spacing also helps maintain airflow around the enclosure while preserving access to the controller terminals and signal connections.
