Product Description:
The ES.S4.000-1300 is a drive module manufactured by KEB for the S4 Combivert Servo Controllers series. Designed to command servomotors in automated machinery, the unit converts DC-bus energy into a three-phase output so that axis velocity and torque follow the application program. Within an installation, it pairs with feedback encoders and fieldbus nodes, providing the regulation layer between the machine controller and the mechanical load. The module supports controlled motion in equipment that requires coordinated speed and torque regulation.
Internally, the controller operates from a 200 V DC subassembly, and this bus voltage is converted into three-phase pulses that support a rated motor speed of 1500 rpm. The integral gearbox uses helical worm gearing arranged in two stages to multiply torque while keeping backlash low. Drive power leaves through a hollow output shaft with an Ø50 H7 bore. Mechanical reaction is absorbed by the housing, which supports flange-and-foot mounting. A flange diameter of 215 mm positions the reducer face, while Ø13.5 mm mounting holes accept through-bolts secured by an M16 retaining screw. The shaft is supplied with a standard keyway, and the controlled motor side has no brake but includes a feather key. A 167 mm protected section on the shaft helps prevent damage to the sealing surfaces during assembly.
The output flange has a Ø250 mm bolt circle that mates with automation frames, while the Ø180 j6 centering pilot positions the housing concentrically before the screws are tightened. An optional shaft length of 185 mm provides extended engagement through deeper couplings or bearings. The keyed hollow shaft helps keep axial play and misalignment low while allowing the foot pads to share the mechanical load with the flange. The flange and pilot dimensions support accurate alignment between the reducer, coupling, and connected machine components. The combined mounting arrangement also distributes reaction forces across the face and base of the housing.
