KEB manufactures the D2.S4.E2E-5000 for its S4 Combivert Servo Controllers series. The Combivert Servo Controller regulates the torque, speed, and position of AC servomotors in automated machinery. It receives command signals from higher-level PLCs, processes them, and supplies controlled three-phase power to the connected motor. Closed-loop feedback allows the controller to correct motion as operating conditions and mechanical loads change.

The controller samples analog references with 12-bit precision, providing 4,096 distinct input levels for fine speed or torque commands. Its feedback channel returns process values through a 10-bit analog output, which is suitable for supervisory displays or cascade control loops. Optically isolated digital status outputs can sink up to 20 mA, allowing connection to compatible relays or indicator LEDs. A dedicated reference current of 4 mA supports current-mode setpoints, while a bipolar reference voltage of +10 V is available for conventional voltage control.
